Lets pretend that we are back in the 1990s again

Both Nintendo and Sega are very powerful gaming companies known for Mortal Kombat Street Fighter and their own games such as Mario Bros and Sonic The Hedgehog

If one of those 2 companies was to make a RLSH game involving yourself Who would you choose to do the best job?

I voted Both.

Super Nintendo had it's own version of Super Mario World, with all those different colored Yoshi's. I played that a lot.

Of course, Sega Genesis did have more games I liked playing on them. I know there was one game where you go from left to right and you become a different creature during different levels I think? With a beastlike face or form? I don't know if you fought zombies or some kinds of humanoid creatures or was it monsters? I don't remember the name but remembered playing it, it was fun. Sega also had Sonic the Hedgehog, Toejam and Earl. Actually now that I write this, I should've voted Sega. Although really I did like them both a lot but in different ways, too close to choose between one or the other but I guess by reading this you could tell which answer I lean towards. There was also a sequel of some medieval game, I think it was Golden Axe II? That was a lot of fun.

And I remember a Bart Simpson game I had played. I'm not exactly sure which system it was on but I'm more sure that it was on Super Nintendo.

Although for nostalgiac purposes, if you put regular Nintendo, I'd be voting that one above all else.

I voted "Nintendo or both", given that Nintendo was/is the most popular of the machines. Of course it's always good to have the game on as many machines as possible though.

I've actually been waiting for someone to develop an RLSH game. It's an obvious project for any indie coder sitting in the basement, to do some kind of RLSH fighting game. Phoenix Jones will of course be the main inspiration, but they'll want to include other RLSH characters too. And people who knows the community will have a blast playing Phoenix Jones vs. Dark Guardian. Razz

C,

There are many others, too. It could be with countless other RLSH's - if they were interested though, of course. I wouldn't imagine it being like Mortal Kombat with one RLSH VS. Another. I would almost guess RLSH VS. some RLSV but would rather not promote any of the RLSV. Just random kinds of evil, or just random people doing stupid things too. But of course possibly different scenarios. Like, in one of the Spider-Man games, there are missions, crime to fight, and people to help. I think it's timed, too.

But, if you want to go like the Marvel Avengers Alliance route, each of them have a different class, of 6 different ones. Generalist, Tactician, Blaster, Bruiser, Scrapper, or Infiltrator. But, I'm sure if it was something similar to this there'd be other similar but different classifications for RLSH's.

I don't see why it wouldn't be something like one RLSH vs another RLSH. The fans like some RLSH and dislike others. They wanna play certain RLSH against other certain RLSH.
I don't see any problem including RLSV either, but I get why you do.

It couldn't be countless either. Some poor graphics artists has to draw the characters. If you tell him his job is endless he'll quit. ;-)

OMG - as to the original version of this thread. For some reason I thought the poll was Super Nintendo - not regular Nintendo.

I still like both so I'll keep my vote as that. But, this does change my answer as to which one I do like a little bit more.

Nintendo had EVERYTHING! I mean, of all video game systems, the most games on it that I've played. All 3 Mario games. Zelda. Contra. Dick Tracy. Jaws. Ninja Turtles. Some kinds of Commando type games, some kind of Kung Fu or Karate Kid videos. Friday the 13th. Goonies. Some type of Castlevania type games. I can't remember tham all but I'm sure I'll think of more soon.

I believe that Nintendo also has the rights to the Drawn to life series that I enjoy playing as well as the Lego game series such as Lego Starwars and Lego Batman 1 and Lego Batman 2 DC Heroes

On the Sage The Power rangers game was loosly a Mortal Kombat game pitting the Power rangers vs the monsters on a bridge and often Power Rangers vs Power rangers just for the fun of it in the story mode The Power Rangers fought The Green Ranger which you can recall was not really evil as we were led to believe but the result of a spell that Rita Repulse placed on Young Tommy Oliver The spell would be broken when the Megazord defeated the Dragonzord which allowed the player to then be able to select them to play as well however The Green Ranger in the game did not have the sword as a playable move The Super Nintendo version of this game however was move the characters through the different levels and beat up the putties as they came

The Game Power Rangers The Movie On the Sega Was based on the movie more than the SNES version of that same title

However on the SNES The game and the levels were longer as the teenegers morphed into rangers after they filled up a power meter by beating up the putties as they came

The Sega Version The Rangers had their uniforms on all the time and we played the Mega Zords durring the boss levels where the Super Nintendo version you just fought monsters such as Mirror Master (not to be confused with the villian from the Flash comics)

On the Sega version depending on the level you were playing you could choose between the Thunder Megazord or the White Tigerzord or the Falcanzord and the Nijazord to fight Ivan Ooze and his 2 monsters the Scorpitron and Hornetron

I easily beat the sega version on the hardest setting the first time around and I find the SENES far more challenging as I havent beat that game yet

I think I do remember playing that Power Rangers game on Sega. Either that and/or the Gameboy-version of Sega. It was/They were fun, from what I remember.

Anyway, by replying to this thread again, you reminded me to look for that one Sega game I remember but forgot the name of. I'm looking on a Sega website right now. Will let you know if I can find which one I'm referring to.
