I just finished reading "I, Jedi" earlier today. It was about a fighter-pilot who had to come to terms with his Jedi heritage, while having to save his missing wife.

I thought the first chapter kind of boring, but I kept reading, and the hook finally came in in chapter two. It is advised that a book capture the attention of the reader very first sentence, but other than that, I really enjoyed the book. It's sort of thick (I think around 550+ pages?), but I finished it in about three days.

Has anyone else read it, and if so, what are your thought on "I, Jedi"?

I read that same exact book in late 1999 to early 2000 - but during a span of like 6 months about, because I had liked reading a few pages a day so that it would last me longer - was more fun that way to me - although nowadays I like to read books quicker because there's always so many more that I want to read after that - anyway that was one of my old books you found, after I hadn't known where it was in years. Aside from the Jedi Apprentice series, that was probably my favorite Star Wars book.

So many interesting adventures in it. I remember during one part of the story, he was making out with another woman, which was weird, because the main thing in this story was that he was trying so hard to find his missing wife - and that it even led to him becoming a Jedi and I think he had some Jedi relatives in previous generations in his family, I don't know if there was adoptions involved, and I also remember that he wasn't very good at using telekinesis, I think that was something that ran in his family also. And at one point he even saw a vision of his future son, who was also training to be a Jedi, and was kind of chubby or something like that? Which was also weird, because Jedi are usually fit.
