favorite time to patrol?

There is'nt a wrong answer,anytime is a good time.

my favorite has to be?....the night time by far.

I voted everything except for:

During the day
During the night
NEVER!

Reason being, I try to make sure that it's random. So, the "Anytime, except" would be that. Any time, but, the follow up to the emphasized "except" part would be that it must be random.

If there IS to be a specific time to do it, it IS when receiving a call that our help is needed. Thus voting "when I get a call, from the HOTLINE" (Or, calls go TO the hotline, though, no?)

"When I feel like it" - This one doesn't need much explanation. Why not? Because I don't feel like it! lol

And yes of course there's that part of me that wants to say "Night time" because it would sound right saying it, and feel right. BUT, at the same time, it MUST be random.

So, technically I could've also voted "During the day" and "During the night" if I like being random, BUT, I don't want it emphasized that I'm voting one over the other.

Actually yeah I think I did vote that one too. And yes, ShowStopper and I did patrol then. ShowStopper had seen more candy than she'd ever seen in her life. And, people did think we looked like Ninjas.

how many guessed you were superheroes?

Not sure, I don't think we asked.

It was just that one kid who asked us "Who are you guys supposed to be?" We said "Superheroes" (Since it's Halloween, we could get away with calling ourselves that) and he said "You don't look like it." He thought we looked like Ninjas. But that means they don't understand what a superhero is supposed to look like or not look like. It's not entirely about the look although self-expression has it's purpose too, but rather, functionality over image.

It's like that episode of Supah Ninjas, and that episode where Kickbutt was in it. The Supah Ninjas did things and got things done, but Supah Ninja was just silly, and kinda like a silly parody of Kick-Ass, but also very stereotypical.

I think the stereotypical image of a superhero is seen through their actions, not through attire. That's if you take in to consideration more of the substance of it, though.

LOL Yeah. But, that will begin to change over time. There is something much deeper than all of that, which needs to be seen.

I watched a few videos of previous comic cons & they get nutty! thousand of fans,cosplayers,celeberties ect. It's gonna be awesome!!!

The best time for me to go out and do a patrol is durring or right after the worst of the storms

I just love thunderstorms and yes we do have them up here from time to time Ive also been known to go out durring hurricanes

What can I say? I cant stand to stay home all day Even a walk to the Grind and brew which is on the far side of town from my place is relaxing durring storms

It is good to go out after a storm is over, so that you can see if anyone needs help with storm damage, etc.

I agree if you make your patrols at the same time same days it makes crime more likely to avoid those times of the week, in other words criminals are smarter then we like to think they can't all be as beast headed as juggernaut or toad. I just go out when I feel like I am needed its a subtle feeling but I just know when the time is right.

Yeah. And they could also learn things about you that could help them figure out who you are. Like, if a person only patrolled at night, weekend, and after-school hours, then that points toward them being in some kind of school. A person could also have an easier time following you if they learn what your patrolling habits were.

plus changing your areas is a good idea,as well as the times.

I've patrolled in different manners day and night, so I voted for those. One other thing: I ALWAYS do a series of charity visits with many donations on September 11th. It makes me feel better about that day and hopefully helps others to take back that day for ourselves, too.

Thanks Red. It's really more about selfishness in a way, though. There's a reason that what they did on that day hurt me just a little bit more than most. I can't go into it, though. I always have some emotional healing to do on that day. Patrolling helps. It's better than breaking down and crying (again).
