| Greetings everyone I am Ratman and I am a Rlsh in training. I learned about the Rlsh about a year ago and was interested in it instantly. I have seen what is wrong with the world and I want to help change it. i think the biggest reason that made me think of seriously wanting to do this was because I was watching the news one October night and there was a story about a family of a mother, a step father, and their two young girls were outside there home just relaxing and playing around 8:30 p.m. and a car drove by and shot one of the girls who was only 7 years old. As I watched and listened to the news the name of the street that the incident happened on sounded familiar to me but I didn't know why. Two days later I was walking to the comic book store that I visit weekly and saw the street name of where that 7 year old girl was shot at. I walked down the block of where the house was and thought that whoever that person or people were needed to be stopped. I thought that anyone who would shoot a 7 year old girl was sick and had no regard for anybody's life. Later that day I learned that the girl was in critical condition but she is now back to normal health thankfully. That's when I knew that if there was someone like all the Rlsh's incidents like that could be prevented. Some things I would like to learn are how to defend myself and others around me from threats, fighting, etc. I look forward to meeting many of you.

| Ratman,
That is a sad situation, and I'm really glad that she was able to recover from it. But, you're right, if there was an RLSH there who was prepared to protect her, she might not have had to suffer the injury of what had happened to her.
Anyway, I hope that you find the Heroes Network forum to be fun and useful. You may say you're in training, but the truth is that training never stops. You may not think of yourself as an RLSH yet, but while even though that is a title best used when given, I'm sure if you saw a situation that needed a hero, that you would act as your sense of honor would guide you.
Anyway, welcome to the Heroes Network.

| I know the feeling, Ratman. Sometimes I sit and think about how someone is getting hurt at this very moment, and wants someone to help them, It's almost like I'm sort of there, but I'm not, if that makes sense? I do what I can... Anyways, welcome to the Heroes Network. ONE OF US! |
