Abraham Lincoln is very much in the news these days, with examinations of his character, his actions, and his leadership style. The New York Times has an article about the management lessons that can be learned from Abraham Lincoln. It got me to thinking: some of the most enduring Lincoln quotes bring us wisdom in a nutshell.

Here are my top 10:

1. “It is true that you may fool all of the people some of the time; you can even fool some of the people all of the time; but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.”

2. "Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe.”
